Great way to keep in contact with each other during COVID-19 and beyond

Earlier this month the Support Group Leaders gathered for a Zoom meeting to share ideas on how to keep connected with their participants during COVID-19. Many ideas were shared, and people had the opportunity to talk about what they had been doing.

“It was good to zoom in on the meeting [and] to see what other clubs we’re doing. We did get a couple of good ideas” said Margaret from the Port Macquarie Support Group.

“I really enjoyed the Zoom connection and found it very interesting and some interesting activities to think about” commented Louisa from the Griffith Support Group.

One of the great ideas that came out of the meeting was a Phone Tree. This was suggested by Dot in the Pittwater Warringah group. This is a system whereby you can share making phone calls amongst people in the group so that everyone can be connected with. This is particularly helpful for those in your group who are not confident using, or don’t have access to technology to Zoom etc.
