Support for NDIS Provider Program

Help available to build your capacity as an NDIS provider

Parkinson’s NSW has received a Grant from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Quality and Safeguards Commission aimed at building the capacity of NDIS providers. The Support for NDIS Providers Program is a project supported through grant funding from the Australian Government.

Parkinson’s NSW is developing a range of resources and educational information that will provide a structured approach to up-skilling both the governance and executive management levels of NDIS providers and those contemplating NDIS Approved Provider Registration – regardless of their size.

This Governance and Executive Management NDIS Resource Pack will include targeted strategies, processes and resources to inform and up-skill all provider governance and executive managements so they can meet the conditions of NDIS registration.

The packs will contain strategic educational and management resources including:

  • Information sheets
  • Links and references to information, policies, checklists, tools, surveys, forms and exemplars
  • Training materials and presentations
  • Feedback, data, reports and other materials derived from consultations.

The resources will include materials in various formats and platforms.

Investment in capacity building enables organisations and individuals to make informed decisions about registering as an NDIS Provider and then maintaining registration. This in turn enables more effective leadership of organisations or businesses in the NDIS environment.

Development of this project is based on the experiences of Parkinson’s NSW throughout its journey towards achieving NDIS Approved Provider Registration in NSW in 2019.

This shared experience will also benefit organisations and individuals in other Australian States and Territories as their jurisdictions enter the National NDIS system under the NDIS Commission.
