Parkinson’s NSW Social Worker and NDIS Support Coordinator Melanie Browning has taken maternity leave. In her absence this role will be taken up by Julie Mavraidis.

Julie has personal experience with both the NDIS and Parkinson’s and also brings strong professional experience to the job, most recently from her work with Rehabilitation hospitals

In her personal life, Julie is a busy mother of three children aged 10, 12, and 14 years. She also likes to ride motorbikes and play and coach soccer.

“I joined Parkinson’s NSW because I decided the time was right to do something more personally fulfilling; something that would make a difference on a day-to-day basis” said Julie Mavraidis.

“Since I have NDIS and healthcare experience, plus a family member with Parkinson’s, this role seemed a perfect fit. I am very much looking forward to working with NDIS clients living with Parkinson’s who want Support Coordination,” she said.
